I never believed it/will believe it until it happens. Valve makes their stuff up as they go along so it's not such a far-fetched prospect. In fact who says that Valve isn't looking at threads like this to take in story ideas? (Though I highly doubt there will be a portal 3).

I may just be thinking cynically, but I doubt it. Seems like any uses of "My dear", "my little girl", etc. would just be an affectionate term not implying any relationship.
