Quote from RogerL on September 18, 2012, 5:39 pmI don't normally comment on maps that I can't finish on my own, but maybe my initial impressions might be useful (or not). I found the map fairly easy to execute, if a bit fiddly, but it was extremely difficult conceptually. It just has so many rooms, so many buttons, and so many catchers and three cubes to manipulate it all with, that it was hard to keep track of where things are, what state they are in, and how to progress. Drawing a map certainly helps. But I never found a satisfactory solution and eventaully gave up. One item of note: there is a seam between the panel that flips up and the glass cube that surrounds it that you can fire a portal through into the laser room. It doesn't buy you much, but I thought I'd point it out.

Quote from HeadShot on September 18, 2012, 6:41 pmI haven't really gotten to put any time into it yet, I've been real busy with work. I like to string together consecutive hours on hard puzzles to really get my mind into high gear, hopefully this weekend I can get a serious sitdown with the puzzle.
Don't release the solution yet, theres no reason to!

Quote from grayarea on September 23, 2012, 11:33 pmAh, yeah I worked out this basic idea except I crouch and pass through the portal. Xtreger mentioned there was a "considerably easier way" to execute it. This must be it.

. Either way, a truly great map, easily in my top 3 hardest solves! Congrats, Xtreger!

Quote from HeadShot on September 24, 2012, 10:51 pmJust thought I'd note that if my
cube stack
method is intended, my solution could have been about 1 million times simpler. All the action from around 3:20 to 6:00 is worthless... If that is correct I'll make a new video without all the unnecessary moves.
P.S. Also note that at 4:15 in the video I'm indicating a bug in the map where fizzler 22 stays down when it should be active.
P.P.S. Xtreger PMed me saying my solution is unintentional, except for my staircase I guess... Fuuuuck

Quote from grayarea on September 25, 2012, 7:25 amNice solution HS! Mine were also up around the 11 minute mark!
Some of the earlier versions had glass walls in the main room to
block some of the same angled shots that I was also using
so I believe at least those parts must not be intended.
I have faith in the benevolent map creator that we're both missing some key idea but I don't know what it might be and haven't had time to play more.
