Single Player Tests - Excellent Partnership (Coop) - Single Player BEE Mod Tests

I started building a map the minute the editor came out. I'm happy to release a puzzle mechanic I haven't seen a lot.

Step by Step
A logical thinking puzzle, split up into several little rooms.
Bring the laser to the end and always keep the Aperture Pedestal Button within reach.

Difficulty is a bit tougher than original test chambers.

Be advised that any noticable taste of blood isn't part of any test protocol. But is an unintended side effect of the Hand-Held-High-Energy-Pellet.

My second map, but first one made in the in-game map editor.

First map made with portal authoring tools but didn't release that map sadly.
Didn't have the time to finished that map. Maybe in time i release that one too.

Medium to Hard difficulty of level.

A not-so-simple chamber!
And yes, the puzzle can be solved in a not-messy way very quickly, in 30 seconds.
The conversion gel "spamming" is worthless. Try to think first!

Update 1.1: timed conversion gel flow to avoid spam and make the puzzle more tricky.

As predicted; pointless thread is pointless. Everyone whoring their test and not looking at anyone else's. Utter chaos.

I actually downloaded a couple that looked particularly interresting. Haven't tried them yet because I'm at school.

Stuff in screenshots that I turn down almost immediatly are obvious trying-out-editor maps, maps with excessively long walking, maps that look completely chaotic, maps with bad description, and stuff like that.

Be advised that any noticable taste of blood isn't part of any test protocol. But is an unintended side effect of the Hand-Held-High-Energy-Pellet.

Hey guys :D

I hope you like this one.
It's main aim is to emphasize optimalization, in that, all it is comprised of is a narrow corridor and the floor is almost entirely un-usuable

Title: Wet Cubes

Cubes are falling continuosly into the toxic water. Help them so they can help you. A beam+buttons test. My first (with the easy map editor).

Right, here's the end result of about 4 hours of mucking around and adding stuff to what was originally supposed to be quite a simple puzzle:

There are definitely some quite severe limitations to the new editor, but then again there's no way I'd be able to pump out such a complex map using Hammer in that amount of time. I'm rather chuffed with the result, to be honest...

All feedback welcome!

Been off Portal mapping for a while, attempting to start back up with this new editor. I plan on modifying the maps in Hammer later to make them more visually interesting (themes!), but for now I'm testing out making some content.
