What are your reasons/motivations for making maps?

I map because:
1.) I've always had a tendency to use every map creation tool available because it is fun for me to create a map, sometimes even more fun than actually playing.
2.) When I play through a game, I often think about, what I would have done different. With creation tools, i achieve this option.
3.) It's this certain feeling when you have released your map and know you have done a good job, and then you get paid for it, as your fame begins to rise, people rate your level, comment, maybe even admire you for what you have done- It is this kind of proudness and the pursuit of perfection that drives me on.
