Yes, I also solved getting the cube to the button the way Mevious and a few others did it. It felt somewhat natural as the user had been thought that you can get to the light bridge without a cube. The idea to catch the respawning cube is somewhat neat though, it'd be nie if that could be required.
It's a bit of an odd, but interesting map in that you can screw yourself over right to the very last second. So I did that once, getting to the exit area without a cube. I guess there are windows so you can know in advance, but maybe it'd be nice to have some sort of warning signal. Not sure what, though. Or, when you do get stuck there, get killed off with a Glados message and neurotoxin or whatever, so there's at least some sort of acknlowledgement of this. Also there's no sound, which feels a bit awkward. Final comment: I'm not sure what the portable surface next to the light bridge portable surface is for, for you can already hit the bridge from the x-marked button.
