Quote from nathanle1406 on August 18, 2012, 10:53 amToday's the day, i missed a bunch of stuff (looks like mostly nothing) from the last time i looked at this, is Alexander Bell going? or is he kidding?
DouglasQ i dont want you to have to go out of your way if its that much trouble, its not really THAT important, just a small reward. You can decide weather or not its worth it. the "reward" could be anything from a high five to a.. um.... an in-game hat? or maybe being referenced in some new portal map... Its probably not anything much bigger, but than again idk how willing to give away stuff these people are. (and what they are capable of giving)
Edit: so did you go? Its time right about now isnt it? *is waiting impatiently*
Although, i dont have access to a pc right now, so yeah....
I'll check this every 5 minutes till probably 8 pacific time, i dont have anyhing to do today... I might do a bit of reading or something...

Quote from DouglasQ on August 18, 2012, 11:10 pmHey, just got home a few minutes ago. I got to the parking lot and sure enough there was an envelope there marked with The Shepherd Company logo. Inside was a usb drive containing two things. The first is this zip, which I'm supposed to make public. The other thing... well, I'm not supposed to talk about it, but it's really cool and sort of explains what's going on here. Now, I'm starving so I've got to go get a bite to eat before I can work on this any more.

Oh I feel dumb now. I had tried morse code on the strangely spaced message before, but thought the spaces were also part of the code... I didn't realize to leave them as they are.
If you take the lowercase as . and capitals as - you get the message:

They're all password protected, I tried IAMALPHAANDOMEGA and Mary.
Not sure what to put in now. :O
EDIT: Here's what it looks like:Quote:EDIT: Oh wait, looks like Random already got the pass ^^'

Quote from Random on August 18, 2012, 11:44 pm"alpha" (first) and "omega" (last) are the other passwords.
where.txt:
Quote:It ends like it began: The Shepherd Company Presents.what.mp3: After Reversing and slowing about 80%
Quote:Steam groupAnd here is the steam group. There's an event upcoming.
Also, I checked back on the collection page and noticed the first letter of each map spells "Uprose."

Quote from nathanle1406 on August 19, 2012, 12:43 pmgood job finding the morse code and solving the end. I just went back to double check, the capitalization on "timing is everything so is location" is the same as in "congratulations on finding the cache decode me" i guess he knew we missed that, and had to put the clue again.
either way, looks like this is pretty much done. good job to all!
also, i cannot seem to open the folders, i tried "alpha" "omega" and neither worked. "mary" was the one for the txt file. its not so important now if you already got it, but still.
