Lost Chamber Zero [RELEASED]
Quote from ebola on October 19, 2007, 12:19 amThanks everyone who beta tested my map! I've fixed all the problems and shortcuts to the map. I also added many aesthetic features and rebuilt the cubemaps to make the map look amazing. I want all of you to try the map out for yourself even if you already played this map already before, you might find some steps different
Again the download link is here
Flying sheep made me a template for the Bonus Maps so I hope you guys enjoy being able to play with the challenges.
People who can prove that they beat the map with only 10 portals will get the privilege of beta testing my next map. There are at least 2 ways to do so. Good luck!
Hey everyone! Just finished the beta of my first map and would like everyone's criticism. I tried to stay true to the taste and logic of the original Portal levels, so I hope you guys enjoy a challenge. The map is about 95% done and 100% playable. I would like you guys to leave your opinions, find glitches, and if everything went smoothly, give me good estimates on how long it took you, the difficulty, and how many portals it took.

Quote from Hober on October 19, 2007, 12:44 amThat rocked! Sitting there with the energy ball, after trying four or five times, and then
seeing that cube sitting there, happy as can be
.
I didn't notice any problems, the sound effects were nice, especially on the elevator to say "I'm over here, come look at me."
Only real complaint is
make that freaking slit a little wider, if possible. Trying to shoot through it took me six or seven tries.
The moving platform could stand to move a bit quicker.
Overall, excellent job.
Probably took ten minutes, I guess. I lost track of time, sorta. As for number of portals, I'd put it at about 14, if I got everything on the first try.

Quote from deathremains on October 19, 2007, 1:06 amthe slot was pretty easy to get after a little patience but definantly the sliding platform... for people who dont realize it at the start they would get stranded out there and have to reset so that was kinda a nuisance but overall good =D

However, it occurs to me that if you made the platform not kick you off, and instead came back to where it started (without unpressing the button), it would stop you from getting truly "stuck"

Quote from ebola on October 19, 2007, 1:19 amYes, I just realized something; you guys played the last part not like how I intended, I'll work on a fix. There is a reason why you get kicked off the platform.
[EDIT]hold on, can u tell me how u guys beat the level? use spoiler code or pm me. I can easily fix being stuck on the island with a portable ceiling.

Quote from deathremains on October 19, 2007, 1:55 am
started the level grabbed the box from the one boxxed area then from there found out the area above via the arrows from there box on the button then trying to get to the platform then accidently almost died in water... but jumped out <might wanna fix that btw from there got up then used the wall technique to get the ball into the catcher then brought the box back down then used it to get a height to shoot into the room, shoot the ceiling to throw the box into then from there took the box off the button
and jumped into the water from the platform then to the platform then brang the box to the ending
yes i know i need better english :l idc either sry about that!

Quote from roger federer on October 19, 2007, 7:01 amnice ending, i like that the elevator 'works' and that it disconnects you; good closure. but the puzzles are sort of tedious, so keep working on those. nice mapping skills, enjoyed it!

Quote from msleeper on October 19, 2007, 11:58 amVery fun and nicely built map. It could use a few things fixed (such as being able to get yourself out of the water) and maybe a little more interesting graphics, maybe some indicator strips, but overall a good map.
