Having trouble joining the Steam Community Group

How does one join the Steam community group? I tried clicking the "Join Group" button but it just reloaded the page. Can someone please help me?

Did you do this inside steam or in the "internet steam community"?
Try doing it in steam.

Yeah you have to do it from within Steam itself, and not the Steam community website.
