Elevator instance problem
Quote from spongylover123 on December 2, 2011, 9:40 pmThere's this text file located in the
Steam/common/portal 2/bin
And there should be a text file for gameCONFIG.txt
Just edit it to your d drive and there you're done.
D or d doesn't matter.

Quote from Lpfreaky90 on December 2, 2011, 9:55 pmGameConfig.txt is the same that the settings in hammer show.
Since your settings in hammer are the same as iWork's settings (and mine) that shouldn't be the problem. What version of windows are you running by the way?
COULD it be possible that windows needs permissions to run stuff in that folder and hammer doesn't have access?
If you're running windows vista or 7, try to run hammer as admin and try again. That's all I can do at the moment, I really need to get some sleep now...

I'm running windows 7. I retried running steam as admin (not sure how/if I can do it for hammer specifically. But it didn't help.

Quote from Vixul on December 2, 2011, 10:58 pmtried that too, still no good. Is there an easier way of completely removing steam and all it's programs than manually going in and deleting all the files in regedit and program files?
