Oh... oh GOD... Please no one EVER do this O_O

That mesh is SO FUCKED.

i was using clip, fyi. I had yet to make it a displacement.

I later found this FAR more useful.

Apparently the orientation of the clipped lines DOES matter AND you have to displace all surfaces simaltaneously

Just when I think I understand the system, it changes on me.

What I do is create one big frigging brush, make it into a displacement and then use the clip tool to cut it.

If you haven't done so, make sure that your displacements are all the same width and height as each other so then you can utilize the "sew" command in the displacement dialogue.

Perhaps I can create a comic about this too if it becomes too difficult.

I actually notice that the pattern of the displacement warps in correspondance to the length and width of the brush, so if two brushes that touch have the same measurement and are displaced at the same time, the lines will match up for sewing.

I was kidding, but what was the problem with the displacements?

Unaligned textures, non-sewing of the displacements? Different sized displacements?

Chicken, I was only excited because you mentioned another of your drawings! :D I have no problem with displacements.. but I don't really use them much. I guess a comic must take you much time, even though you surely like to have an excuse to make a good drawing  ...so I won't insist

after screwing around with the displacements, i learned a few things, but now im having a weird time trying to do discoloring effects
