I've just finished whiteboxing my latest level in my eile singleplayer series and I'm just about to move onto art implementation (Not decided what style to use yet).

I would greatly appreciate any feedback on the gameplay/difficulty before i start making it look pretty!
I'm aware it looks incredibly ugly right now, and there is no clipping or indicator lights.

You can grab the map on my profile downloads (a3_eile_hanoi), but here are a few un-flattering screenshots that may pique your interest.

All I see is pti. pti is not looking good ever =( it's so dull and uninspiring!
Also the default song almost makes me want to tear my hair out.

this thread is not to promote your map, this is a thread to get comments on the visual design.
What I see right now is a very pti looking ugly box. I don't see any light models; I see laser fields without models I see bad lighting. Right now I don't like the looks of it.

Any suggestions on how to make it look better?

There seems to be a bit too much light. Remove the light strips behind the field, the observation room is very bright and the fields glow by themselves. If the room is darker they will draw more attention.

Is this the playerclip field? I don't remember which color is which.
