So I got an idea. I created the new coop map called The Amazing Race and I was wondering if people would be interested in having a competition. I would make a bracket of however many people would like to join. So it could be an 8 or 16 or even 32 man bracket. It's just something to do. The winner doesn't get an award or anything, I think it would just be fun.
I will pair everyone up and make the bracket. The winner will be determined by winning two out of the three racing maps. Once you are assigned to your opponent then you start on racing map 1. The winner of that race gets to decide the next map; however, Map 4 will not be allowed to be raced on because of the lag it gives to P-Body and no map can be played twice. If the same player wins the next map, then he is declaired the victor and advances to the next opponent. If the same player doesn't win the second race, then you must race on the map you didn't pick and that will determine the victor. The winner of the entire competition will be deemed as The Amazing Race Champion and will get to race me!
This is just for fun, so I highly doubt cheating and reporting false wins will be an issue. But you could go ahead and make screen shots of your wins or of other people cheating. If there is a problem with a player getting stuck or the map breaking, then the players will be required to restart the map and start where each player was when the map broke.
The Competition will be held on Friday 13 at 8pm EST. Post on this forum or Personal Message me of your intent to enter the competition with your steam name. Make sure you know you will have enough time to play though a competition and that you will be able to be on time because I don't want to have to mess with the brackets over and over again. I will not be accepting new entries past 7:30pm on Friday 13.
If you have previously played The Amazing Race then make sure you have the newest version of the map. If you want to practice your runs by yourself, but don't know how, then I made a post on how to do that HERE
