[SP] Through The Roof
Quote from Sidneys1 on June 6, 2011, 7:32 pmThrough The Roof v0.4... Ran out of time for the competition due to a nasty leak, so the map is incomplete. There was a lot more planned, but I just didn't have time.. I hope you enjoy it anyways. Too bad the chamber I couldn't complete was supposed to be the interesting one.

Quote from xdiesp on June 11, 2011, 11:17 pmWIP story mode through a Decayed level, feels clever at times - but shallow: coups de theatre don't work in barren, anemic walkways. As for puzzles, there are none after the first room, and even that one pratically solves itself

Quote from Sidneys1 on June 12, 2011, 7:28 amYeah, the third 'chamber' I was going to make was going to be huge, with lots of puzzles and also have heavy story telling themes. Unfortunately I ran out of time =P
Have a nice day,

Quote from msleeper on June 12, 2011, 2:42 pmYou didn't put any I/O to limit how many cubes the cube spawner can make, so I did this.
The map isn't finished so I'm not sure I can fairly judge it. The first room was pretty interesting, though it took a lot of faith in your signage to know where the button to open the exit door was. And the actual faith in the "There Is No Spoon" section isn't very Portal-like.
Would be interested in seeing the final product.
Still relevant

I didn't want players to get up there, they somehow manage to always get stuck. But then, flinging in a cube doesn't always land on the button. So I had to make sure there was a way to complete without restarting the map. I'll fix this for the final release.

In the end, I'm pretty much banking on my attention to detail on pulling me through this contest. My final chamber will be awesome (hopefully... Hint:
"we have warehouses of them"
) but I just didn't have time to map something that big. =P

So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:VCZtt5_BIm8
