Mh no way out of the room where it says "HELP" on one wall? Got the companion cube outside, HELP isnt lighted anymore, but Im stuck there, no portal surfaces around. Is that the ending room?

It's not an ending room. Maybe you get a glitch. Can you use the

and do you see a

world portal above the observation room
?

Can get the gels, but cant put them anywhere, no other portal surface than where I get the gels

No worldportal above me though, all the ceiling is full with non-portal-blocks

I enjoyed this warped puzzle. The whole

room-by-room gravity thing
is a bit bothersome (for me), but in this case played okay, and created an entertaining (if a little frustrating) puzzle.

I spent about 20 minutes trying to play with the

gels to rescue the cube, and probably ended up beating it by exploiting a design flaw. I could not get the gels to cover the wall/floor where I could then either get gel to cover the cube, portal the cube out, or use a +/- excursion funnel to move the cube. Even juggling gel with the +/- excursion funnels I couldn't get it where I wanted, but maybe I just wasn't willing to try that hard (but 20 minutes!!!). MY possible-exploit-of-design-flaw, or maybe-intended-solution to rescuing the cube, was to use the -excursion funnel placed on the ceiling over the wall so that there was just enough for Chell to be pulled up out of the room in. I used the existing portal-able ceiling surface.

Liked: I very much liked the

connection between rooms, I enjoyed the

"rescue the cube" aspect,
which had me applying human traits to the Cube in Distress (I guess that's already a Portal joke), and I'm always mixed on

crazy gravity
but it worked okay here. Last, I appreciate that you at least created death sequences for stuck situations -- but I'm thinking unless you needed the humor of failure and death that Glados provides, the level could be designed without stuck situations.
Disliked: Tedium of spraying gel and pointing funnels, (I'm willing to accept that maybe this is just a case where the difficulty of this operation is above my skill level). I also assume that

gravity is to blame
for the odd way things stick out of walls, so besides disliking the aesthetics of it, no complaint.

I'd give it a 3.5/5, if possible. As always, thanks for the map!

The mindbreaking stuff is supposed to be world portals, but the map never truly uses them for puzzle making. Some pretty warped chambers are indeed in there, but the actual action won't confuse you no more than any other map's. Others who tried their hand at this genre, gave you surreal problems to deal with in the actual gaming.

Then on the second half, the map takes a sudden dive in quality giving you a terrible looking big box of nothingness, to fill with gels but actually glitchy and unsolvable. Unspeakable stuff, really. :notwant:

Poor and gratuitous use of world portals. Once I got in the gel room, there was no discernable puzzle and no indication of what I was supposed to do next. The lighting through the map was boring, and the gel room was a giant single texture hollow box. I gave up after trying too long to figure out what the hell I was supposed to do in there.

Finally I tried it again and was able to solve the map. Had to throw the cube over the wall to get it out of the jail though, because without the cube there was no way of letting gel in that room.

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.

The nonsense of the gel room just killed whatever good feelings I might have had for this map. I really hate maps that require shooting portals in just the right place from nine miles away. This would have been a 3, but the gel room makes me give it 2/5. Removed from playlist, with DOD scrubbing.
