Quote from xdiesp on June 10, 2011, 6:54 pmHaving tried the previous version, I confirm the professional looks and appreciate how fast it plays: maps using orange gel extensively are relatively few. Compared to the previous, thankfully puzzles got tightened and the turrets part can no longer be screwed with. However the last ramp is still somewhat random, because sometimes it just won't run to the top - falling down the gaps despite maximum speed. Overall good performance.

Quote from msleeper on June 12, 2011, 5:36 pmYou definitely have a keen eye for detail and the visuals in this map are top notch. I have said this in a few other maps involving gels - you have the default settings for them (max blobs, etc.) set to the default amounts. For mid-range PCs like mine, the default gel settings causes some noticeable framerate lag.
The puzzles just didn't do it for me, few of them felt really like Portal. Aside from the use of the laser, I didn't really get much enjoyment from solving them. I also had problems executing the jumps at the end with the sloped surfaces. Speaking of which, those are probably the only visual issue I saw (using a sloped surface instead of a panel when a panel would have been perfect in that instance).
i think you can make the last gap easily if you also have goo on the right side wall and try to slide next to the wall there.
I just don't know what the
1st solution of the laser
does or why u'd need it. Same for the last button.

Quote from KennKong on December 15, 2011, 7:41 pmThe map was well made stylistically, but the puzzle felt rather tweaked into place (oh, we need a little ledge here, a little panel there.) I just missed a lot of the flings and jumps more than a few times. Dropping the cube on the last button was an unnecessary hit or miss detail. This could have been a great map, but it has just too many little playability hiccups for me. 3/5.
