[SP] Red, White and Blue
Quote from GoldenBuns on June 2, 2011, 11:30 amA 1940s-style map I made for a small project, but I'm also going to enter it into the contest. This is the first complete map I've made for any game, so it will be a little rough and not optimized.
v1.2
Fixed a massive solution skip (added fizzlers at the entrance)
Changed test sphere to the instance, instead of separate brushes/entities
Added clipping brushes to the entrance catwalks
Reverted outside overlays to the correct orientationv1.1
Added textures to places that were missing them
Patched a hole in the test sphere
Moved a support to its correct position
Made a changelogv1
Initial releaseFile Name: RedWhiteBlue_v1_2.7z
File Size: 918.75?KiB

Quote from Thingy Person on June 2, 2011, 3:15 pm
I agree with the above; I laid out the propulsion and repulsion gel before I saw where to go for the conversion gel, so I went ahead and solved it the intended way, but I might as well have used the odd plate down below. I think you can just go ahead and remove it since you can solve the test without it.
By the way, did you use the premade instance for the sphere? There were some lighting errors.

Quote from Enigmaphase on June 2, 2011, 3:51 pmAlso, I'm not sure if you wanted people to fling themselves onto the platform where the button is, but you can just jump onto the railing and then onto the platform from there.

Quote from Kibate on June 3, 2011, 1:24 amThere was a lighting problem whcih made the map so much harder(because i think this causes the gel to disappear after it hits a wall) (or did this just happen with mine?)
I didn't needed the blue and orange gel too, but this is easily solveable by putting a Emancipation Gril in the beginning

Quote from xdiesp on June 3, 2011, 3:34 amWeak. But informative! Because even if geometry is subpar and you basically play the whole small level on a single platform, you suggested that the chamber was upside down and I bet developing that idea further could make wonders.
