[SP] Paradox

A short map, trying out an idea thats been suggested a few times. It's got a time machine in it, which switches between the present and the future. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to extend it before the contest ends.

This is amazing i would really like to see you make some more of these levels as it adds a whole new element to portal i just love it 5/5 saw nothing wrong with it.

It's far too easy to remove the only cube from the game by taking it to the future and leaving it there. I also can't really rate a level that I could write a walkthrough for in one sentence:

Spoiler
Use the time machine to get more cubes.

Edit: I didn't notice the reset button, never mind.

Heres a video of my play-through: http://www.xfire.com/video/47f7b9/

If it was solvable I couldnt figure it out :p
I really like the time machine though! Really awesome!

Great map! As with the others, I would love to see more of this!

The time machine has a second button on the opposite side that resets everything to how it started.

Strange, somehow I managed to lose all my cubes, but anyways pretty nice idea. Keep it up.

The Corrupted - 1st place winner of the ThinkingWithPortals.com mapping contest 2012 !!

Awesome idea! You deserve a good 5/5, keep it up!

Congratulations for the original idea, but I didn't find much logic in the puzzle. If I brought back my cube from 2015 to 1985, I would expect that going back to 2015 again at this point wouldn't make me find a third cube (I have it with me). That should have required at least 2014, but the game doesn't suggest so.

Maybe, check this other time traveling mod:

Yeah, it is a bit odd. I couldnt think of another way for it to work though, without interacting with yourself somehow. The idea was the future version always follows directly from how you leave the past, unfortunately that = infinite boxes. I was working on another puzzle which was more complicated and got around this by only giving you access to old boxes, but the map was already a maze of logic gates and I couldn't get it to work.
