Quote from Enigmaphase on June 23, 2011, 12:52 amThis is a really amazing map! It was really well made and an absolute delight to play. Also, I learned that crazily bouncing turrets around in a cage makes them explode, haha.
So much more than "Just Another Chamber"
5/5

Quote from jimmyb on June 23, 2011, 1:11 amVery nice map. I probably overused the
white gel
a bit, but that can be fun too.
Really made me think in a couple of places.
One strange glitch for me:
I jumped away then portalled back to this ledge. It's as if the map said "Ok, you beat me. I'll change the texture of that wall so you don't have to paint it with anymore white gel."
Oh, BTW...
I am NOT a fan of timers. It would be nice if the 1st timer was a bit longer. Better still, isn't really a need for it IMHO. Many will disagree as they like em. Still a good map though.
Quote from Lpfreaky90 on June 23, 2011, 6:28 amDeadly laz0rs are horrible in the second map, sorry but it killed me way to often so the map frustrated me at the end. I agree that the timers are also a bit annoying. Maybe just press the button and you finished one part of the map?
Other than that the map was really nice! keep up the good work!
4/5

Quote from xdiesp on June 23, 2011, 2:17 pmLong, serpentine series of 4 interconnected chambers which prepare for a timed, difficult rush during the finale. The bland and uninteresting looks shouldn't keep you from trying your hand at the well engineered puzzles' layout: individually none a breakthrough, but together making for a nice difficulty crescendo. Could use some love for details, contrasts, lightning, observation rooms, elevators.
There is a potential roadblock, in the flow: players might want to do the turrets+gel room by covering everything in white paint, and then disposing of the turrets. Which is time consuming and useless, in the intended solution: imo, it should be prevented. The 1 hit kill laser and turrets is a decision I can respect, but generally results detrimental to enjoyment I'm afraid.
Can be completed without the optional routes which make the last fling less difficult: but are you a bad enough dude to make it? Kudos for the included walkthrough, that should be a standard.

Quote from Zig on June 23, 2011, 2:53 pmMaybe the best map i've played !
Gratz for mapping this, i really loved it.
Not so "difficult", but smartly built.
the last timer to reach the end is good tho, not too short (noneed to do a perfect way through the end til the timer ends) and not too long to keep it not too easy.
I want more from you !
5/5 ofc.
Keep mapping plz !

Quote from KLJF22 on June 23, 2011, 4:52 pmAbout those one hit kill lasers :S
I was going to use them for a different puzzle but it didn't work out like I thought it would so I scrapped the puzzle but forgot to change them back to normal. So I just edited the map so they should be normal lasers now.

Quote from quatrus on June 23, 2011, 8:16 pmNot a big fan of timer maps, but this was a very good one. Thanks for the walkthrough, it was very helpful and different than how I got to the end(s) after my timers ran out. Will try again leaving the timer starts until the very ends. Thanks for mapping.

Quote from smwlover on June 24, 2011, 9:05 amExcellent one indeed! I didn't realise the number above the door so I went into the left one at first and at last realised I was wrong. The puzzles are great. The flinging part at the end of the left chamber is fun. I love the time rush when you completed both puzzles. The whole map feels like an exciting adventure game. Thanks for mapping. I'm expecting more splendid maps like this one out of you!!! 5/5!

Fun, and challenging. though i think getting the portal past the rotating laser emitting column (into the next room) is a bit of a bitch to pull off (and i'm still not entirely sure i did it the "right" way. but i got to the end, and had fun doing so. Great mapEdit: Could have used more lighting and detail. As someone posted (on your youtube walkthrough link (i just loaded)) The
white gel
looks like
water
so you might not realize how to use it.
Edit 2: Also a slight bug...
Regarding the turrets in the cages: I didn't paint them blue, didn't think to turn around and use the blue paint behind me, but instead painted the area under them white. and portaled them out of there in order to kill them. This does something weird, because they didn't die and deactivate like normal turrets, and i could not pick them up, they were just in the way. I'm guessing you have them set up differently than normal turrets, because one of them randomly exploded later. This is a bug as i'm concerned, because people are going to try different ways to get stuff done, and can't assume someone is going to paint them blue. Either find a way to NOT allow you to portal under them, or fix the turrets so they act like they are supposed to.
