[SP] Filtered Testing

PreviousPage 2 of 2

Hello!

I think this map is just marvelous. I had no problems with the the lighting and I found the enormous amount of detail very visually pleasing. This map is just packed with stuff to look at. I really liked all the angled, falling apart testing elements. In most broken aperture maps I find that for some reason all the vital testing elements are perfectly fine. Just visually a great job!

As for the puzzles, I liked them a lot. Adding 2 custom fizzlers on the first one was pretty wierd in my opinion as the same puzzle could have been accomplished without them but I really don't mind. The first room took the longest to solve for me and I think I enjoyed it the most.

Second puzzle was like a blast from the past as I'm sure I've played something very similar before. Simple logic puzzle but still very enjoyable.

Third puzzle was interesting and ultimately much easier than it seemed to be.

Last but certainly not least. You asked for unintended solutions and that's kinda my thing.

Thanks! I had fun.

That sure is a nice map you got there. It would be a shame if someone broke it.

Edited the map and fixed most of the problems and made Shakky's solution harder. Still probably possible, but I doubt most people will pull it off, and it was really clever.

Big Mood

I really enjoyed these set of puzzles. As Shakky said, the detailing in the map was fantastic, i just love playing these kind of maps, as i spend a lot of time just looking around at the architecture. The only downside for me, which everyone has picked up on, is the constant shaking. You say you have toned it down, but the version i played, which i downloaded on the 8/11/2013,still has far to much screen shaking. Apart from that, loved it. Really liked the custom painting as well.

I'll play this map later, but for anyone who's having problems with the shake, I believe ent_fire env_shake Kill should turn off the shaking entirely, and ent_fire env_shake amplitude 2 should tone it way down. ;)
