Fixed the issue with the non-working map :D
Feel free to download :D

This is my very first map, so suggestions are more then welcome :D

If you have ideas how to improve the map: let me know!

Add lights, it would make the map much more appealing. I think puzzles were too easy.
Here's my playthrough: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3300848/portal/ ... mrlate.dem

I added my list of to do things, lighting is on it! ;)
It is true this map is not really hard, as this is intended to be the first of a series of test.

Figured out how to open the .dem file ( playdemo enrichment_mrlate.dem in portal 2)

The other solution

Spoiler
The solution you used is one of the options, the other is the one where you launch yourself through where the glass panels were, and then onto the walkway, place the portals the way you had them, and then jump into the funnel, onto the hard light bridge.

Loved it! Only thing that bugged me: I couldn't go down to the trees! I wanted to. Damn u! :D

Really good but the actual design and feel of the map is rather bland.
4/5

I felt really stupid when

Spoiler
I could use the excursion funnel with the hard light bridge at the end.

Thanks for the reactions!

@lillegum: The initial idea involves getting to the trees after test number 6.
Since this is only test one, it might take a while, but I planned that you could get there someday!

@olie glad you liked my map. The design and feel are indeed not good yet. I really need to add lightning and other stuff to make it a bit nicer, and it's on my to do list :P

Medium is about right for difficulty. Map seemed a little bright, maybe tone it down a bit? Thanks for mapping.

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.

Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufof2cZ-fZ4
