Like a well-made jigsaw puzzle.
No not "that JigSaw" - I retained all my body parts and did not have a locked on metal helmet with pneumatic skull-crushing piston.

I'll save that for part 5

Thanks josepezdj and PCdoc :notworthy: Glad you both liked it ^_^ Thanks for the video josepezdj

I already know about either jumping on the button or the cube to avoid using the light bridge or button, I want to keep it in though cause it is a pretty ingenious solution, im keeping the original solution for people who play a little more conventionally

LoneWolf, would you let me know what parts are intended and which ones are not? I'm curious! :D As I think dot 3 can't be intended that way (because I did not use some elements), I'll keep on trying!

Like I said its not really unintended, kind of an alternate solution, not sure how many people would think to jump on the button or do a backward jump off the cube to get in to the funnel but I think its clever enough to let you avoid using the light bridge to do the same so im keeping it in.

Another great addition in your series. Keep it up, dude. For various reasons, i had quite some time to play Portal. And it felt great returning with such an awesome map, between a few others.

Playthrough
Some things: Is the disabling fizzler in the third puzzle necessary? It doesn't seem like it matters at all, or maybe I'm missing something. I really liked the idea of the meta-puzzle at the end to figure out how to get the funnel into the hub room, but I was a little disappointed in the solution.

Spoiler
The interaction between two intersecting funnels doesn't seem very defined
, and I wasn't really expecting what I did to work until I tried it.

Complaints aside, the dilapidation series has been one of my favorites. I have no idea why these maps aren't in the spotlight category.

Edit: I see you answered a question about the fizzler in the third room above. Nevermind then.

Thanks for the playthrough, you solved it identically to how I intended  You seem to have a very similar playstyle to myself, and of course a quicksave before you try anything risky

Glad you still liked it despite the downsides :notworthy: As for spotlight xD, I think I have a long way to go before my maps are that good :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

The rest of the series is all planned out, the final 4 maps, they just have to be built, I think this will definitely be my toughest map though xD But my rule is always a tough to think about map, but easy to perform the solution when you figure it out, mostly cause im terrible at ninja stuff so i wouldnt be able to beat my own maps

I played this a while back and I have to say I agree with Mevious that this is worth the spotlight. All the while playing and solving it I was like 'it looks great' and 'that's clever' and 'thinking with portlals!!21' and 'I can't really fault this in any way'. Actually that reminds me I didn't finish it, because of that tricky ending puzzle and I didn't have time. But I will return to it. Honestly amongst countless of front page workshop maps I have given up on being good, maps like these that get everything right stand out that much more. I even like the visuals better than most Hammer maps, something about the colour scheme I think. And there's the fact that you keep everything nice and compact. So nothing but gushing from me, looking forward to the next part

:notworthy: Thanks so much! Now im worried part 5 will be awful compared to this, im trying to keep the puzzle variety up but light bridge/ faith plate puzzles aren't my strong suit :notwant:
