Quote from RogerL on September 25, 2013, 1:06 amYeah, my own solution was more like Jacu's. Except for the first cube. Jose's solution was a bit more complicated than I think it needs to be. To get the first cube, I funneled the cube to the ceiling in the room behind the laser field,
then I flung it to hit the pedestal button, knocking it toward me where I could retrieve it
. But I would guess that Jacu's method in his second video is the intended solution. Getting the cube to hit the laser catcher and activate the lightbridge was actually the hardest part for me. Jacu does it in one move; it probably took me about a dozen attempts to get it right.
Still, a very nice puzzle: some challenging execution, but mostly a lot of hard thinking.
But I would like to reiterate Jacu's complaints: jumping through portals with lasers going through them is no fun, and you need to figure out how to prevent the player from getting stuck in the lower level near the exit before the cube is placed on the cube button near the entrance.

After watching the 2 videos that Jacu posted (haha, I loved the final ninja-ish move in the 1st video! cheers!), I am sure that what Grey intended was more like that, he likes more to move cubes remotely
. I just noticed that my way of solving puzzles is sort of a "phase by phase" approach, like if I tended to separate puzzles in areas and then to solve them one by one... don't know... ofc wherever that is possible...
All in all, it's an awesome map and I really enjoyed a damn lot playing around in such a diabolically pretty well-made maze
I sincerely envy (in the best sense of the word) Grey's puzzle-making ability!

Regarding those cons you mentioned, I could agree, but my point is that you always need to sacrifice certain things even though you get annoyances in return if you aspire to achieve high levels in puzzle development
So neither of them are annoying enough to spoil this incredible puzzle.
Grey, hats off! as usual

Actualy both videos show more or less intended way. The only thing I wish I kept in the released version is slime in the pit under funnel source (it was there originaly), so that player have to stay in funnel. It would keep only the intended way for that part.
As to the "laser in portal" problem that you had, there's no problem at all for me. Just crouch and you're lower than the laser beam is.Anyway, thanks for playing.

Awesome map with a great soundtrack!
All in all it took me over 3 hours and in my opinion it is a pretty hard map. But I don't play as much as I used to so regular players might find it easier.
It never got boring and was very rewarding. The peaceful atmosphere created by the music fits a tough chamber like this very much.
5/5. I thank you for mapping
