[Solved] Problematic npc_portal_turret_floor shadows

I have a problem with the shadows casted by npc_portal_turret_floor. They appear on surfaces that are close but above the turret. They also appear on the opposite side of the above surface, which makes it casting a total of three shadows. With prop_physics for example, you can control how far the dynamic shadows are casted, but not with this entity. So is there anything I can do?

I usually just disable the shadow in those cases. I guess that's the easy way out. Hopefully someone has better insight.

Does your map have a shadow control entity?

Thanks, but the problem was that the antenna of the turret was sticking up through the brush. I didn't see it because it's retracted when the turret is idle and it's actually sticking out from the turret's bounding box.
