Quote from sicklebrick on June 30, 2012, 12:26 amI've been enjoying the hell out of the PTI editor now that we can skip the VRad part during testing, so here's a wee pack of some I bothered to finish. Would love to see your solutions and hear how it went.

Quote from RogerL on July 3, 2012, 5:09 pmI thought Gypsy Carousel was a lot of fun: it required thinking through the entire way and required some new (at least to me) techniques to solve it.
Splatterpuss was more straightforward, probably because I recently replayed the map it was based on. I'm not sure if it was intended to be able to pickup the cube through the grate to place it on the button that opened the panel, but that's what I did.
Slippyfist was just massively confusing at first with all those long indicator lines going through multiple levels and areas you couldn't explore to find out what did what because of the laser fields. But after a couple of false starts, the solution came pretty quickly because there were just so few portable surfaces you could actually work with at any one time. Was it intended to get the cube on the last button by crouching down and pulling it through the portal off the other button?
Of the three, I definitely liked GC the best: it just felt more puzzly.

I updated Splatterpuss just last night or so to fix the grating issue, so chances are you played an older version. Still, not much replay value if you already know the solution!
Crouch-grabbing the cube through the portal on Slippyfist was the right solution - figured it'd be a nice diversion to make you question your solution towards the end... but I totally see whatcha mean about it being windey.I think GC is my favourite too. Seems I stumbled on a really nice shape for small levels there
Cheers for the feedback Roger

Quote from El Farmerino on July 13, 2012, 1:46 amLovely set of maps. Gypsy Carousel was fun, though I actually just breezed through it so in that sense I preferred the other two. I also ended up
adjusting the cube through the grate in Splatterpuss, as it didn't quite land on the button
. Incidentally, I initially read the title as 'Splatterpuss (Hardfish)' and thought that was a fantastic title for a Gabber track...
Had a weird bug in Slippyfist that I've never seen before:

I had to fix being able to put a whole cube through the grating in splatterpuss recently, so by comparison, adjusting it is fine. Adjust away! I've never seen the double cube bug on a PeTI map before, heh.. not sure if I should be bothered or if it's a one in a million bug. Probably safest that I think you for alerting me to the issue then sweep it under the rug. ThankyouI'm totally calling the next one Hardfish btw :p

Quote from PCdoc on December 19, 2012, 9:36 pmSlippyFist was tricky and fun.
I really enjoyed it.You know - the numer of comments given to any single excellent map have dwindled. I think it is because of the new editor cauaing thousands of maps to be created.
So I very much regret that you are not getting the kudos that you deserve for all the hard work.
Well I for one - am giving you kudos.MAJOR KUDOS !!

Quote from RectorRocks on December 20, 2012, 5:09 amAwesome puzzles Sickle! Took me 30 minutes to complete all 3 maps, Slippyfist being the longest, and Splatterpuss being the shortest. Below are my blindruns for all 3 maps plus some feedbacks, separated by sections.
Splatterpuss (Hardish):
I completed this level pretty fast, I guess its because the concept is really similar of Gig's Outside the Box map, which I just learnt not long ago. Great use of the Companion Cube, by the way
Here's my blindrun:
1. I grabbed the cube through the grate to put on the button. Is that intended? :O
Gypsy Carousel:
Great level, puzzles were really good
1. I think I solved it in an unintended solution. I stood in the middle of two portals and then fired a portal on the other side while moving backwards to enter the cube dropper room. Is that intended? :O
Slippyfist:
Absolutely awesome level, was stucked at various points of the level, mostly near the end. Puzzles were amazing and well-planned.
1. Is it intended to put the cube on the button's edge in order for me to croch-grab the cube through the portal?Button.pngIf its intended, thats pretty awesome. Really creative

Definitely a 5/5!
Cheers!

Quote from PCdoc on December 20, 2012, 5:44 amHey Sickle - I am sorry to post about a different map in this section, but I cannot find the map in TWP:
It is called: Advanced Painting 2
.
And I see a couple other guys have also failed at this map - the same map I gave up on a while ago.Advanced Painting 2. So I figgered I would help them all and post a request for a video or for a tip on the TWP page for that Map.
BUT . . . and this is a BIG BUTT . . . I cannot find it here - it may be here but the TWP Search Engine is horrible. Typing in "Advanced Painting 2" resulted in tons of unrelated map names that id not have ANY of those terms in them !!
So - in desperation I tried to simply list all of your Maps. You would think that would be a simple thing to do. I went to the following field and typed in "Sicklebrick":
For users which have uploaded or changed downloads
NO MAPS SHOWED UP.
I was hoping to find a video to help.
As with the other 2 guys . . . I cannot complete the part after the vertical shafts.
The distance across is simply too long. Thanks
