Not wanting to give too much away, it involves
making a cube face the wrong way.
http://youtu.be/rfn4Bxdgpm0The "trick" is after ~3:05 in the video, but I originally achieved the same result in a less elegant and more risky manner:
pushing the cube with my knees!
Another thing - after going through all the challenges, I still haven't found a practical use for the
upstairs button
.

Quote from grayarea on April 6, 2014, 8:50 amVery nice CF! Cube recovery is all as intended. Your method for getting upstairs without fizzling is a valid alternative.
The
collision with Frank onto the grating
was also discovered by marKiu. It's not intended and I was torn as to whether or not to block it, as it's quite fun. The fix would be to set the edge of the grating 3 squares back closer to the staircase. My final move is a different trick which no one has found so far.

Quote from grayarea on April 6, 2014, 9:20 amOn second thoughts, I decided to change the grating as mentioned. CF's solution is completely valid (though alternate) up to reaching
Frank
. After that, there are still one or two solution elements missing, so I'll wait on my videos.

Quote from marKiu on April 6, 2014, 11:49 amOk I managed to throw the cube backwards while jumping so it lands just close enough to grab it from the other side through the grates. Of course this is not intended so I think I give up on this one. Waiting for you solution videos

Challenge #1: http://youtu.be/V79pIkSLOnE
Challenge #2: http://youtu.be/fg8pSbj-6p0
Challenge #3: http://youtu.be/J-eD1apnt0sAs you can see, marKiu's solutions feature prominently. This is because I was able to re-write the challenge rules in order to allow them to remain without breaking my own solutions. His faith-plate method (and later CF's variant) actually became required for the new no-destruction challenge. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed it. Very good testing!
