Post the worst map you have ever made.

This.
The page for that map no longer exists on the website, so I can't provide screenshots. However, that map was terrible. It was lit mostly by texture lights (the sky) and required you to do tricky jumps to get from one end of the map to the other. It was also a CTF map that wasn't symmetrical.

I had a worse one, but I can't find it online at all.. It was a wooden maze that was fullbright, had one path from flag to flag, and required crouching to get through it. Terrible.

The main thing is, if you can learn from your own and others' mistakes, you can come out a little smarter each time. Ultimately, reading up on any of the concepts and ideas about level design and its elements will help even more drastically. As many have said, "Practice makes perfect!".

First guy tells the second guy, "My head hurts!" The second guy replied, "Stop thinking so much!" Then the first guy says, "I think that what caused my problem in the first place!" The second guy says, "Then stop banging you head against the wall!"
