Maybe its not a test object, but my favourite element are the Robo Panels.
They are just awesome for me, it gives the feel that GLaDOS/Wheatley can build everything with them, etc., I just like them

My favorite element is probably the excursion funnel. (It was just my first impression of Portal 2 puzzles before it came out when I saw the E3 demos). My favorite custom device: probably the explosive cube from "try anything twice" which I'm trying to get it to work in P2. My most used custom element: Bumbleball.

EDIT: The car horns in my country sound like space cores (I'm serious).
