how to make portals run in directx 8.1

it will run ALOT better for the lesser video cards... i went from 30-40 fps to around 200 fps.
all u do it go to where your commands are for your shortcuts weither it is in steam or on ur desktop paste this into it

Code: Select all: -novid -console -dxlevel 81 +mat_forcehardwaresync 0

this will make it change the settings each time so if u dont want it full screen just add

Code: Select all: -windowed

to the end =D thought this would help a couple people with the slower computer's. also i didnt know which section this should be under so i posted it here =3
