You should have used the word "SPENT" instead of "WASTED": how many hours have you spent playing Portal?
Because for me none of the hours playing portal or portal 2 have been a waste of time!
In fact, sometimes, when I can't play along a whole day, I go to bed thinking:
"DAMN!! A WASTED DAY!..."

I think in terms of boolean variables. Generally, it makes things easier.
Portal: 130.1
Portal 2: 102.8
Portal 2 Tools: 236.2 (I usually use the desktop gadget.)

Seems I'm pretty average, in the end:
Portal : 117.3 hrs
Portal 2 : 376.4 hrs
Portal 2 Tools : 468.7 hrs
Mind you, plenty of those Tools hours were spent just learning how Hammer works - and cursing a lot....
Also, I've apparently only played HL2 for 13.4 hrs, so I suspect I'm missing a chunk out of those Portal 1 figures (that and I downloaded dozens of maps for P1). Is there a time from which this record officially began?
And that 'wasted' is of course misplaced, as everyone says, I'd not take back a single hour
