Quote from Yenwood on July 4, 2012, 6:40 pmI might have an older version on a different computer, but the steam account I downloaded that on only used Half Life... would that affect hammer?
(I most likely do not have it downloaded there, I will check when I can, but don't get your hopes up

Quote from DaMaGepy on July 7, 2012, 5:10 amI usually start (after launching hammer) by create a new map, then try to save as... 25% of the time it works, and if can successfully bring up the save as window, I can just close the map and use the open menu.
I also try to keep the most used files in hammer's history (stores 4 of them), and if nothing works, I just have a .reg registry file ready, and I add/edit the filenames there before I start hammer
(HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareValveHammerRecent File List)

Quote from Gregoric on July 8, 2012, 7:14 amDo you people know if it is system dependent? It may be as (for me) crashes mostly happen when trying to open/save as - these require opening Windows dialog box.
I am using Windows 7 x64. Didn't update for a bit long because I don't want the IE9 even try to get onto my drive. So, Windows updates in 7 surely don't have anything to do with these crashes.
Back to my question, anyone who is not using 7 have those crashes?

Quote from RustyDios on July 8, 2012, 6:41 pmI'm still using Windows Vista, just can't afford to upgrade to Windows 7. Never once had a problem with Hammer yet ... but since this thread have been keeping on the lookout for similar issues...
Maybe it is Windows version specific ?
