Quote from User on March 13, 2013, 3:56 pmHello Community ^^
(Im new to the community ^^ From Germany)
And the problem is that the Hammer Editor wont work.
I reinstalled Source sdk, Portal 2, cleaned the registry, deleted the sdk files in the appdata. And no matter what I do, I dont get the program work since 2 months. All drivers are up to-date and the graphics card and PC are not too bad for the Hammer Editor.I have many incomplete maps and i cant work at them.
I dont know why i got every time this Error: (Brocken)Anyone know a solution? (Vllt spricht auch jmd. hier Deutsch ^^)

Please give us as much information as you can.

Quote from TopHATTwaffle on March 13, 2013, 9:42 pmPlease make sure that it is just the Portal 2 version of Hammer. Download and install Source SDK, and another Steam game that can be used with it. (TF2 will work fine.) Then load that game, and load hammer for the same game through Source SDK.
We are doing this because I want to know if it's Hammer, or if it's Portal 2 Hammer.

Quote from josepezdj on March 14, 2013, 10:36 amCould it be that you have set the game to don't update and you're missing a key update?
Also, do you remember doing anything special 2 months ago? have you ever changed the game from its installation folder?
Another (maybe stupid) question: is your game copy a legit one or is it a pirated one?
Maybe, even though all your files are properly validated, your files are located in bad sectors of your hard drive... try doing a chkdsk or defragment your drives...
