Certainly, Propulsion Gel would be the easiest. I'd add a global math_counter with a min of 0 and a max of 99999, OnChangedFromMin activate a player_speedmod, OnHitMin reactivate it. Then the gel blobs would create trigger_multiples where they hit, OnStartTouch counter Add 1, OnEndTouch counter Subtract 1.
