Displacements and Portals

Just thought I would post something here that I found interesting.

In Portal 1's developer commentary, it was mentioned that the physics around portals is changed for purposes of gameplay and speed, so I figure it has something to do with that.

Just something to keep in mind if using displacements

Surely they have portable surfaces near displacements in the first-ish part of the game. What a glitch!

They don't. Walk around in mat_wireframe 1 and see for yourself.
