Custom audio files not playing in-game

OT: Yes, but I'm bad at it. I like how they have momentum-conserving portals in one world...which is of course named Hell.

Back: To convert sample rate it isn't very hard at all. Open the file in Audacity, tell it to read directly (I don't know why it does that for WAVs), change the sample rate drop-down in the bottom left, and export back (not Save).

Alright, Fracture, I'll try it and see how it works.

after adding an audio file, on the top right side there is a tab that says basic settings, click it and go down to audio codec, the frame below changes to more advanced settings and the sample rate shows up.

EDIT: Audacity is an a AUDACITY!! >8C lol I'm kidding, i just had to make that joke XD. Use whatever works.

Just when I think I understand the system, it changes on me.

...

What?

The word "audacity" doesn't even make sense in that context, it's an abstract noun.

Using Audacity, I'm trying to make my AI voice sound more like an AI, and sound less like a normal human. However, my attempts have had bad results. Can anyone tell me how to make the voices sound more robotic?

Signatures are overrated.

Try using the Filter > Change Pitch... setting, that makes it bounce up and down a bit like GLaDOS's. But you really need a pitch correction (Autotune) plugin, and I don't know any free ones. Sorry.

EDIT: A bit of Googling found GSnap, I'll have to try it out.

Ok, I didn't use that, but I got a decent result using the "delay" effect. Not bad, could use a bit of work.

You could get the demo version of adobe audition, it's not bad for that kind of thing.

I do use Adobe Audition 3.0. for long time... it's really good for editting sound (I use Reason 5.0 for producing sound...)

I got a copy with the Production Premium, but I haven't used it much. What is it best for?
