cube jumping

Hey guys.

I watched some Portal 2 videos on YouTube and saw sicklebrick do a cube-jump.
So i got interested in it and a friend suggested to build a training map for it.

It took me about 2 hours to learn the basics and another 2 hours to get used to it:

The map was build with Hammer Editor withn a few minutes and then optimized
with hints for faster learning. Teleporters on the floor for faster "respawn";

You can also do the same thing with turrets in coop-mode.
I tried it with my map, and just converted it to coop and changed the cubes to turrets,
but it seems a little bit more difficult.

And here is a video i found on YouTube, which shows some more advanced cube-jumps:

Well, i just wanted to share my experience...
I hope you enjoy and i guess not all of you knew about cube-jumps yet. =)

Actually, I knew about cube jumping, but the only speedrunning techniques I can do properly are circular jumps from the elevator and simple wall strafing and little ExFu glitches that I don't like. I'm not good at bunnyhopping either.

Cube jumping looks sick! I call it sick brick jumping after sicklebrick.

I am still amazed by the combination of cube jump and bunny hopping, as seen in the 2nd video.
Learning to cube jump was not that difficult after all. You just need fast reflexes and as soon as
you know the best timing, it kind of works on its own.

Altough I did not manage to do a 3rd or even a 4th jump yet, because I don't know how to grab
the cube again, after I jumped the 2nd time... I tried it alot, but it seems like I can't grab
it ever (because it is already too far away after the 2nd jump). -.-'
