For the glados quotes, theres a good page on the portal wiki: http://theportalwiki.com/wiki/GLaDOS_voice_lines

I think in terms of boolean variables. Generally, it makes things easier.

haha i thought the same thing at first, hold your cursor over the line and it will tell you.
