as for the grass: you can either make a custom grass texture that's unportalable or you can make it a displacement (no need to actually displace it! Or just stick with the noportal volume

When my Portal 2 crashed, I thought the grating gate was meant to open at the start, so I noclipped through :p
You should place indicator lights or signs to indicate that placing the disk into the disk player opens the grating gate, because its not very obvious that the grating is a gate.[/spoiler]
