[WIP] [WIP] sp_amw

Simple 1 room map I'm working on. The room isn't the prettiest looking, but it'll do. There are some interesting elements to work out, different than the normal gameplay.

Version 0.21
- added autosave

Version 0.2
- shortened the size of the room
- removed ability to bounce into laser
- changed adding bounce gel to get to button
- changed location of laser catcher
- added new panel after laser catcher is activated
- changed end location
- made fade to black, and disconnect after you reach the end

How to play vpk? :( bsp please

Installing the VPK

1. Create a folder in 'Portal 2portal2' called 'addons'.
2. Place your .vpk file inside the addons folder.
3a. If Portal 2 was not running during step 2, load portal 2 and head to step 4.
3b. If Portal 2 was running during step 2, type the following in the console: 'update_addon_paths'.
4. To load a single player map, type in the console: 'map mymap' replace mymap with the name of your map.
5. To load a Co-op map, start a Co-op game with your friend, once you enter the hub type in console: 'changelevel mymap' replace mymap with the name of your map.

Aw, got it running. Its the first vpk ive seen here though in about 30-50 maps. All others were bsp.

Anyways, I end up in a dark room without any ending or text or possibility to go on, is that correct?

If you want my very honest opinion this is too easy. It's way too obvious what you need to do. The only thing I could really like was

the jump onto the "laser platform"
, because i havent seen it before, it was original. You should put in more stuff in that room. But apart from it being very simple, it's well done, good job :)

Yeah, I didn't know how people end maps, so thats all I got. I'm wanting to expand it, to make it more rooms, so I was looking for this first room to be sort of easy.

land on the laser platform. If the intended solution is to hit the ceiling/laser to stop your momenteum, then yeah, I haven't seen it before either- good job.

That said, raising the metal platforms is unnecessary. The puzzle can be solved only using the blue gel once. Namely, skipping half the puzzle, so you may want to fix this:

Just to let everyone know, the second version of the file is now available. It has some interesting twists on some normal gameplay ideas.
