White paint bomb doesn't knock over turrets?
Quote from CaretCaret on September 19, 2011, 8:58 amSo Im making a boss battle for my map pack and I have a constantly dropping flow of white paint bombs that I would like to knock over some turrets with. But, it kinda doesnt... The bomb effects them a little if you hit them straight on (but generally dont knock them over) but I would like the splash to knock them over.
Any good ideas for how to solve this?

Quote from spongylover123 on September 19, 2011, 9:03 amI don't think conversion gel should let the turrets get knocked down, repulsion gel makes the turret bounce, propulsion gel makes it slippery and falls down, but conversion gel has no effect except portals
P.S Theres no model of a turret covered with conversion gel unless you're willing to make one.

Quote from CaretCaret on September 19, 2011, 10:02 amI was thinking I didnt have to code, but maybe use some env_physexplosions in a clever way or something similar.

Quote from MutatedTurret on September 19, 2011, 1:31 pmYou can use the env_physexplosions under every turret, and have the respective one set off by the 'onpainted' output. The only way I don't see it working is if indeed conversion gel doesn't register as 'painted' on a turret.

Quote from Brainstatic on September 19, 2011, 3:05 pmEven if you do get this to work, I would still recommend using repulsion gel or possibly bombs. You would have to train players that gel splashes from any gel will knock over turrets. And even if you effectively manage that, some players may even think that this is in the game by default. Then they'll just get really confused when they play other maps and water, conversion gel, and propulsion gel splashes don't knock down turrets or move cubes.
