Vegetation (The overgrown look)
Quote from ChickenMobile on May 12, 2011, 5:33 amTry creating a prop_static/prop_dynamic and click browse on the modelname option. Looks for something witht he prefab 'nature'
Also there probably a few decals that are ivy looking. You could place them on walls too.

~Sidneys1You also need to disable normals for the prop_static plants.

If you really want vegetation to sway then you can always make ropes (to look like vines) and add an env_wind like you said.
If you really, really want vegetation to sway then try looking for an animated model or if you know how, make one yourself.

Quote from p0rtalplayer on May 20, 2011, 4:14 pmSomeone told me that the vegetation only sways if you're render options are above a certain level. He didn't specify which, or what level, but you could try turning them up.

Quote from Will T. on May 22, 2011, 1:13 amI experimented with this today and found that the vegetation only sways if the Shader Detail setting is set to "High" or "Very High." Even then, it only seems to occur with certain models - some vines may not sway no matter what. That was just my experience observing them in the default single-player campaign though; I didn't try anything with custom placement of the foliage props.
