Quote from Another Bad Pun on May 1, 2011, 5:53 pmGood for your first. I think it had some good ideas.
Like putting the x cube into the slot.
The only issues I have are that there are lots of misaligned textures. Also it seems that the fizzler should fizzle the cube, but it dosen't. I know it has to be like that for the puzzle to work, but there has to be some other way to do it. Also, an env_soundscape earlier in the level would be nice, that sparking noise started to annoy me after awhile. Also the indicator was backwords on the door.

Other than those few issues, pat yourself on the back. Good work!

Quote from hitmanjaret on May 1, 2011, 6:05 pmThanks for playing the level and letting me know what you think! I tried really hard not to have misaligned textures, but I must of missed some, dangit. Ya I thought about having the cube fizzle just to be funny and then a new cube would drop into the room below or something. I agree about the sparking noise, I should just have a local ambient play near it maybe or something.
Thanks for the tips!

Sorry about the confusion.

Did you run it in portal 2 or the original portal? Its for the original portal and I did not use any custom textures or anything so it should work fine.
And it was tough to figure out what to do exactly. I mean there is no way to guess the x block is required. Some kind of hint would be nice.
I remember encountering that bug when I was making that room and forgot to fix it. I will have to make an update.
Also, I was hoping the X would help signify you need that box as the others do not have an X on them. But maybe some additional hints are needed, I was hoping for a bit more feedback to get a better idea of how people reacted to that part.
