super physcannon and game_ui crashing game? (map attached)

ok, heres the problem. I made a custom super physcannon that is supposed to parent the targeted object directly to the brush (the superphyscannon). that part works fine.

the part that messed me up, though, was when I changed it from attaching on the portalgun first fire, to the game_ui's weapon fire2 (so I could have the freezing in mid-air effect from a different gun). the new way is that on weapon 2 press, it parents the targeted object. on weapon 2 unpress, it clears the targetted item's parent.

after setting up the old settings w/ the game_ui, it started crashing on startup. I have no clue what to do, because there are not any problems in the checker w/ alt+P.

so, here's the map if you think that will help:

Why you want to make a physcannon in portal? If the portal gun has no feature there is no point honestly.

the physcannon would be part of a set of gun you would have to equip and un-equip, and then re-equip a new one, depending on the test. i currently have a portalgun (un-edited), a freeze-in-midair gun, a heat ray gun, and a bomb launcher. they would each be equipped for certain parts of a test, like breaking glass and moving a static button over to a more accessible area.

Sounds like a lot of work and switching around. Perhaps you would benefit from making the portalgun have different modes.

your map has nothing in it.

well, the setting isn't there, because otherwise it would be too confusing. i isolated the super physcannon so the problem might be easier to find.

the gun should be there.... but i'm going to have to check it later.
