[SP] The Odysseys Initiative

Cyber-Cave here
After fixing up the entire canon of human literature, I finally realized that there was one thing missing from Greek Mythology: science. That, test subject, is where you come in. See, the Odyssey Initiative turned out so well that I've decided to make it into a movie, and the best of our test subjects will be playing a silhouetted Odysseus. Just make sure you actually are the best; I've decided to make this film a sort of pilgrimage for the best of the best who want into a new career (although you might have trouble down the road if you keep jumping instead of reading your lines). Now, I'm sure you're thinking "Cyber-Cave, how can I be in more than one movie? I don't think many others have the actors jump instead of speak." Well, rest assured you won't have to worry about that for a while, because this is a trilogy!
Cyber-Cave disengaged

Over an hour of gameplay, with increasing difficulty. Some exploits are possible because I'm nice, especially being able to bypass the tricky fling in 3i if you so desire and can figure out how. For an extra challenge bring all 5 cubes to the exit (although you need to leave one behind to actually open the door). All feedback appreciated and thanks for playing.

This seems impossible but I must be missing something.
At the point where you drop a sphere into a receptacle and she says "Oh, did I accidently fizzle that before you had a chance to complete the Test ?" - a door opens to a button. I pressed the button which gave me steps to walk up and into one side of a double-room. It has a single button that when clicked counts to 3. But you need to get to the other side to click the other button. But it is walled off and I see no possible way to get in there. Would it be possible to get a hint ?

There are also 2 square cube buttons that I have no cubes to fill.
This is the point I am stuck at. I am wondering if I am now supposed to completely retrack backwards through the previous rooms ??

Another thing is that you did say that I should be able to end up with 5 cubes. However, each room's exit goes through a fizzler door, so I could not carry any cubes with me.

Wow really awesome concept you got there...
I tried to solve it with 5 cubes at the end on my first run and it took me about 2 hours to finish this great work.

Spoiler
The chambers were quite challenging and it got even more difficult when you had to go back and forth trying to save your portals.
The laserpuzzle to keep the door open to the second chamber was simply beautiful. Loved the interaction of the two rooms.
I don't know if this was intended but in the third room I used a really nasty strafejump to get back into the second area.

I don't remember having this much fun exploring and going full ninja on a map for a long time.
Was the cube stacking in the third room (round3) to get up on the elevators intended? Or did I need to jump over the lasergrid with a cube on the floor?

I think that there are multiple solutions and it took me a while to know what the concept is all about but I have to give it a 5/5 because of the complexity and the fun factor.
Maybe casual players will have a lot of problems because somehow the map is missing a guideline.
Anyways great work. Thanks for creating

PCdoc: Yes, you backtrack. The fizzlers will eventually shut off but as far as I've discovered it's impossible to do the 5 cubes challenge until you completely finish the level
marKiu:Hey, contgrats on being, as far as I know, the first one to complete this. I'm awfully curious about the ninja stuff you did and why, because the only difficult move is the fling in room 3. The cube stacking to get from 3iii to 2iii was unintentional and pointless; you can shoot a white wall on the other side of the door, and then drop onto the bottom and use a portal by the lower button.

As for people not realizing they have to backtrack that continues despite (or possibly because of) how I've set up the entry/exit in this version. I think another "next test this way" would do the trick, but when I placed it it points the wrong way, and of course I can't just rotate it because the words will be backwards... I'll figure something out
Thanks for the feedback

Huge update; due to exploit fixes the level is now much longer and better than it used to be. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =118113879
