Room's obscene, looks like a (badly skinned) scrapyard of props; and the "puzzle" is about finding the correct order of catapults that doesn't get you stuck in the geometry. Keep out.

Quote from Number47 on June 13, 2011, 3:50 pmWell thank you for the feedback, this is my first ever level, for Portal 2 or any other game for that matter. I will of course have to learn more about mapping for Portal and figure out what "saving throws" are. But the puzzle is about getting the cube out of the glass cage in the middle. And I most certainly won't keep out, my next map will be better. By the way I don't see your contribution to the contest, what gives?

Quote from bjs0 on June 16, 2011, 10:40 amI didn't think it was terrible, but I had a few issues:
1. This is very important. The map appears to have no obvious logic to which surfaces conduct portals. As is the case with both games, surfaces that do should be white (and preferrably non-reflective), and surfaces that don't should not be.
2. If you use the faith plate to launch yourself at the central cage/pillar and manage to land in the hole, your only escape is to kill yourself in the water.
3. The hole above the central cage needs to be widened. I didn't once fly through without bumping into the walls or floor.
4.If you jump down the hole to the exit balcony without opening the door first, you are stuck and will have to restart the level.
5. If you jump down into the cage with the cube, you are stuck and must restart.
6. The water should fizzle the cube automatically.
7. Maybe add some glass in the floor near the button, so you can see that it's opening the door.

I believe what xdiesp meant, Number47, is that the map didn't have any real redeeming qualities ("saving throws"), and his advice to "keep out" was directed at the players, not to you.
I don't necessarily agree with his opinion, and he could have been much more tactful. However, he is generally a good contributor to the community, and doesn't criticize on a whim. If he had a problem, you might benefit from taking it to heart.
With that said, I'm glad to hear that this won't be your last map!

So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:zpgnrk3u1bA

Quote from KennKong on December 29, 2011, 1:28 amThe flings in this one were a bit iffy, particularly shooting the gap in the tower. This also has one of my least favorite mechanics, bouncing to small platforms. The lighting could be improved, but at least you made an effort to use what you have to direct the player
e.g. blue light on the cube to hint at using gel on it.
I made a mistake on the fling at the far end. I forgot to change the portal from the gel dispenser, and I shot it out of the portal in the chimney. From then on, it was impossible to fling to the top. Put a grill above the cube to prevent the player from getting trapped there. I can see that a lot of thought and effort went into making this, it just didn't quite come out right. 3/5 from me.
