Quote from xdiesp on August 24, 2011, 8:16 pmShort map in Clean, doesn't look bad for a first timer but its puzzle space wastes so many opportunities and never becomes engaging. Take the first room: as long as a bowling alley, its hot spots are compressed into a square meter. Or above: what's the use for the moving panels, if one can do this.
It wouldn't be difficult to turn this one around: just require more effort from the player, set conditions at which things can or cannot be done. Examples:
- Set the laser bells apart along the corridor, which open the door;
- Inside the door is another laser target, which activates the funnel;
- The button inside the door deactivates a fizzler in the funnel silo: this way you have to remotely send the cube up (deal with the details);
- Above, protect the intended solution;
- Require the player to stand on the lifted exit platform before shooting the last portal, which will force people to rush there after pushing the pole button.

Quote from KennKong on August 25, 2011, 11:34 pmI think your concept was pretty good, but the execution needs work. My main complaint is that the working area of the rooms was too cramped. I got fried by the laser too many times for it to be enjoyable. The puzzle wasn't hard to figure out so there was no sense of satisfaction after completing this map.
Not too bad for a first effort. Learn how to make a map more fun to play, and you'll be fine. A 3/5 from me.

Quote from quatrus on August 26, 2011, 9:01 pmNice first map. The timing in the last chamber was a bit tight, especially as the aiming of the laser had to be set up ahead - missed the pointing a couple times. Still well done.
Thanks for creating.
