Quote from GreyHound on August 10, 2011, 1:37 pmVery short and extremly easy map. Sad there's no actual challenge in it. The look could be improved, it's a little dull and uninteressting, but not bad, missing some color spots in my opinion.
I liked how you had lights and other environmental elements, those looked and felt in place.
For the second room type puzzle i'd suggest a higher ceiling so it doesn't feel so weird and glitchy performing the expected move.
edit:
Also, you can walk through the garbage/wrackage in the connection between the rooms and end up in horrible space and even get stuck.

Quote from satchmo on August 10, 2011, 1:50 pmGood, solid, valiant first effort at Portal 2 puzzle.
I thought it's a bit too dark, and please consider using other more interesting Portal 2 elements (funnel, laser, light bridge).

Quote from jamesf141 on August 10, 2011, 3:05 pmIt's not very often that I find a map that has it's faults this way around, so this might be quite difficult for me to criticise. Visually, this was a brilliantly done map. Technically... not so. The puzzles were simplistic and the lighting too dark at times (although I loved the touch with the lights coming on and the noise. Brilliant!) The infinite loop room (Oh My God, I love you already for putting one of those in - I'd begun to give up hope when all my playtesters tried to find ways around it) was, as has been said, slightly too short. The angled panels in the first room look out of place - up to there it looks quite clean, and there is no reason for them to be angled from the visuals. However, I must admit I loved the "backstage" areas, and your use of the shaft instance was brilliant.
My two REAL issues with this map were:
1) First room, before testing, to your left as you go in; brilliant idea to use a different texture and a different sized square. Only issue is the room is slightly too tall, so it doesn't look right. At all. Oh, and the lightboard doesn't do anything.
2) And this is my biggest issue - you NEED a playerclip brush over the pile of trash in the "backstage" bit. Trust me. I walked through it. Just look at the screenshot supplied - that is one HELL of a leak, and I could have, if I chose to, fallen off the map completely. This makes the map seem untested, so please fix soon?
Nevertheless, visually (and, tbh for an easy-level map, from a player's perspective) this was not bad at all.

Quote from xdiesp on August 10, 2011, 7:12 pmLooks like an incomplete demo and maybe it is, given there's apparently more chambers to come (in a pack). It's essentially a tour without puzzles, outside of a single fling. Features two styles: Clean, which works well; Modern BTS which loses credibility full on, imho you should keep doing your game of seennot seen.
Hard to see weight in this project if you don't add some gameplay first. That not-solid wreckage bug has been pointed out ad nausem, but I would add that the thing itself seemed too bright.

Quote from Szieve on August 13, 2011, 8:34 amNice first effort.. I also found the clip issue, and ended up past the garbage..I also found that I didn't die when I was in the toxic goo, so I just swam out.. Still, better than any map I've made, as I haven't made any.. lol

So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:BmF4Wkas45o
