[SP] [SP] Cube Collecter
Quote from moikiz on May 23, 2011, 2:04 pmThis is my very first map that I have ever created in any sort of mapping program so haters are gonna hate.
For my first map it's actually fairly good. The object of this test chamber is to collect the 3 weighted storage cubes so as to open the exit door.
It's fairly simple really.

Quote from Hanzik on May 23, 2011, 2:18 pmNicely done. It's clean, pretty damn straightforward and well scripted. I do like the fact that you used good ol' Glados (I am yet to figure out how the hell I put her into my own maps, but that's another story).
Use more "doorstates". Indicator lights are fine, but I'm sure we all love "doorstates".
I am looking forward to some more maps. Make it more challenging next time.

Quote from kaztheberserk on May 23, 2011, 4:42 pmThe button closest to the entrance (
the one that creates the angled panel
) doesn't appear to be necessary.
I obtained that cube by simply putting blue gel all over the floor, dropping from a ceiling-portal, and hopping up to the cube
. Other than that though, everything seems to be quite well done. I can't tell you how thankful I was for the water spout after I accidentally gelled my cube. God damn those things are hard to get a hold of.

I'm probably going to start a new map now rather than try to patch it as I have spent way too much time patching that map before I even released it, lol

Quote from xdiesp on May 23, 2011, 6:21 pmLooks are to be appreciated, but there's no challenge whatsoever. Either you consider this a map for paint beginners (think first chamber of Old Aperture) or a playground with loose goals. Memo: add puzzles.

Quote from quatrus on May 23, 2011, 8:09 pmPretty easy,
dropped onto angled surface and portaled in floor for fling to #2
no need for the gel
You can jump from top of columns to third cube
. Very nice map, still could use some tweaks to cut out shortcuts. Thanks for creating.
Pretty easy,
Quote from mickyficky on May 23, 2011, 8:41 pmNice map. The thing where the panels slide back so you can get the companion cube (the topmost one) is a little glitchy though. Needed to place that cube in the recepticle a lot of times till all the panels opend up (most of the times only the lowest row opend, so I had no idea what to do - didn't know it was supposed to open all the way to the top at that point).

Quote from Kibate on May 23, 2011, 9:37 pmFun map, good for beginners, and i did it the way it was suppose to be solved XP
BUT the gel/water was kidna weird, i couldn't tell what was going on with that. I did use the blue gel, but it was transparent...yeah weird
