Page 1 of 2Next

A couple of puzzles based around an Aerial Faith Plate.

Theme: Clean/BTS

Final Update! Fixed up lighting, changed some stuff, did final HDR pass

I'd personally like to thank Valve and ThinkingWithPortals for putting on this contest. It was fun and good motivation

Here is a video of my first play-through.

It was a fun map!

I would make the goo destroy the cube, since you cant get it if it falls into it anyways.
Would be nice to add auto-saves because I always forget to save :3

Nice map, however hard to tell that you're suppose to get outside of the chambers(even with noclip i had no idea what to do, only due to your screenshot i was able to figure it out)

Well played, streamlined and adequate outside too. Where I got by a leap of faith, as the passage's almost hidden... that should be addressed. Also, newcomers might not understand what the vent is without some mark or FX.

the hills are alive... with the sound of music

Thanks you for the feedback everyone! All of these issues should be fixed by the end of today.

Very nice! It looks great, plays great, and had me thinking (though not too hard).

I tried to record a play test run, but CamStudio crapped out on me. I wonder what everyone else is using for recording...

I use fraps, but get the full version or you'll be limited to 30 secs of recording. You can also just type "record mydemo" (and later: "stop") in the console to record you playing, the mydemo.dem goes in your Portal2 directory with all the VPK files.

I just use xfire.
super easy.

Brilliant map, but I found myself a bit stuck at the start - it is possible to see a portal-able surface in the first observation room, but not to put a portal on it. Maybe make that wall black?

Love the implementation of the diversity vent.

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:
