[SP] Perpetual Swesting Initiative
Quote from d401tq on July 25, 2012, 8:55 pmA simple, but challenging chamber using just lasers, and my first ever map, made in Hammer.
My aim was to produce a chamber that was tricky to do, but simple in terms of what it contained. I also didn't want the user to have to use a knack, luck, or platforming skills.
The chamber is based solely on lasers and can be easily solved when you know how.
Difficulty:
Room 1: Easy
Room 2: Peasy
Room 3: Lemon
Room 4: I DON'T WANT YOUR DAMN LEMONS!All comments welcome.

Quote from Shakky on July 26, 2012, 12:06 pmNice idea. First two puzzles were too easy and you could have added something more to those or just make more than 4 chambers.
Third chamber was the real first puzzle and actually pretty clever one in my opinion. The solution seems impossible at first but it's actually pretty easy.
The fourth chamber is well done and I really like these kind of laser puzzles. I almost managed to do it with one cube but one of the relays is little outaligned for that.
Here is my solution video if anyone is interested:

Quote from PCdoc on July 27, 2012, 5:53 pmMap 1 and 2 you should just delete.
Maps 3 and 4 are light years ahead of 1 and 2.
Map 3 was hard, and so far I have not been able to solve Map 4.Will keep trying for a while - then watch the video.
Excellent work. 🙂

Quote from d401tq on July 27, 2012, 7:31 pmCheers for the comments guys. The first 2 rooms were intentionally very easy - there are 4 rooms in total to fit with the style, of the rooms becoming gradually more sinister and dilapidated. Plus I figured the last two rooms provided enough difficult for the chamber as a whole.

Quote from quatrus on July 29, 2012, 6:42 pmI'm usually not a fan of complex laser puzzles, but three and four were really well done. I had 4 solved except for the placement of the last cube - thanks Shakky for the video - I would probably never placed it correctly without help...
Thanks for creating.

I nearly gave up after seeing the reskinned PTI rooms 1 & 2, but 3 & 4 caught my attention.
Cheers
