[SP] Lightning Strike

This is my first map for Portal 2 and I am just looking for some feedback on how you guys like it. I tried to make it a little challenging so let me know what you guys think.

Just completed it and here's my feeback :

bottom room = wall room // top room = gels room, just to explain myself :p

the second laser cube can be picked up without using the bumpers, not on purpose i guess so maybe make more water under the second cube drop to force the use of bumpers.

In the gels room, when you jump in front of you, you can see a new white wall behind you, but i didnt used it, so he's useless imo.

The blue gel in the wall room is useless unfortunately if you're doing the map in the right way, only used if you fall before putting a portal in the platform which is inclined by the laser, is it on purpose that we can actually do that ?

Anyway good job for making that map :)

Amateurish appearances and uncomfortable when puzzlesolving, you will notice that when the gel buttons are... well, on a different floor and you have to take the elevator to get there. Again and again if you need to splatter more, as you can't even use portals to shortcut the trip (...).

You could only get away with this if the map was a small, slick, plastic & glass affair where everything is at least close and visible.

at first i liked the idea of using an elevator, but it quickly proved to be a pain in the ass, especially considering you need to use it everytime you made a mistake or change something about the gel. At some point i just used noclip to skip that part(but not to cheat) Also, some kind of notice of which floor your currently on would help a lot, in the beginning i was quite confused about the buttons

the puzzle itself was okay, but like xdiesp said, the appearence needs a workover

Firstly, thanks for mapping. However, the puzzle you present is not very complex or challenging, more busy with the back and forth in the elevator. You could lose the elevator and have a nice two chamber Easy puzzle...

visually unapealling, and the elevator idea was kind of annoying. I was able to get the gel in the right places without using too much back and fourth but the final fling to the end didn't, work at all, I kept hitting the ceiling if I went too fast and falling short if I went too slow. Also the EXTREMELY narrow laser beam window with the two cubes and relay was just annoying. I had to put he second cube so close that it was leaning against the relay. Also the faithplate at the top of the elevator seemed pretty useless.

I didnt mind the elevator to much.Probably would of been better to have another to the same place near the angled platform to cut down on the back and forth.Needs to be brighter also.I didnt know a door opened right beside the button and ended up thinking I was stuck and started over

Too many steps in this map involved trying something, then having to go to a point of no return to see what had changed, then going back and trying something else. That's not a puzzle, that's a minefield. No AHA moments, just a lot of WTF ones.

I have to really dislike playing a map to give it a 2, but this one managed it.
